Beethoven and the Philharmonic. – 1837
Über Beethovens 9. Sinfonie und die Hoffnung, dass diese oder wenigstens Teile davon bald in London zu einer würdigen Aufführung gelangen mögen. Der Senat hatte zunächst die Aufführung der ganzen Sinfonie aus Kostengründen abgelehnt.
